Plain Real Estate: Be Prepared for a Lease Offer
There are typically three types of paperwork that must be prepared by a tenant:
1) Proof of Employment;
2) Credit Check Report; and
3) Rental Application
The deposit comes after (typically within 24 hours after your offer has been accepted) via certified cheque or bank draft. Being prepared with all the paperwork you need makes the process go smoother and in some cases, win or lose the lease if the rental property is popular. If you are really serious about putting in an offer, then have this ready. Great rentals go fast, and the only way to be sure you get the property over someone else is to be prepared.
