What’s Happening in TO: A Midsummer Night’s Run
This will be my 3rd time running a marathon. Well…not so much a marathon but a half-marathon. I’m in no condition to run a full-marathon yet which means one thing – start TRAINING. Every time I finish a half-marathon, I say “NEVER AGAIN!”, and yet here I am again, committing to an even longer distance.
While I do admit that I once said, “running is a breeze…what’s the big deal” and did not train or buy proper shoes – oh my Twinkies….did I learn my lesson. Never again will I pick up random sneakers out of the back of my trunk minutes before a race. And I also now realize that playing basketball and hockey a couple times a week is not enough training for a marathon.
So to get to my point… are you tired of running your same old route?
Support Sick Kids Children Hospital by running at “A Midsummer Night’s Run” through the eastern beaches and waterfront.

I’ve ran the (half) Toronto Marathon and the same for the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon but this run is going to be different. This 30K run (or 5/15K run/walk) will focus on the lower east side and will take you through Tommy Thompson Park, Ashbridge’s Bay and the beaches. Now THIS is what I call WATER front. Port Lands here I come! Pumped.
